Therapeutic Action
Diuretic.
 
Indications
Furosemide is a recommended diuretic for use in all those conditions where fast and effective diuresis is required. It is indicated in the treatment of congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema, hepatic cirrhosis with ascitic-edematous syndrome, and kidney disease, including nephritic syndrome (treatment of the basic disease has priority). Edema following burns. Mild and moderate arterial hypertension.
